January 16th

Target $2 Family Fun Night

Join us on the 3rd Friday of every month for Target $2 Family Fun Night from 4pm until 8pm. General admission is just $2 per person after 4pm. Tickets must be purchased at the door. Tickets cannot be purchased in advance or combined with any other discounts or coupons.

Tonight’s special activities include:

  • Bike Rodeo and Safety Demonstration: 4:30pm, 5:30pm & 6:30pm
  • Family crafts: 4:30pm – 6:30pm
  • Once Upon a Doorstep: 6pm & 7pm

Lions Blood Drive

The College Park Lions Club is sponsoring a Blood Drive with the Anne Arundel Medical Center Blood Mobile on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in College Park, from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Lewis Black: The Rant is Due Part Deux

Bringing his renowned mix of anger and disillusionment, comedian Lewis Black will return to Baltimore as part of his “The Rant is Due Part Deux” tour.  Show time is 8PM at the Patricia & Arthur Modell Performing Arts Center at The Lyric.

Diva Central: Dress Drive for Prom

RCC is collecting the following for Diva Central: Formal Dresses, Shoes, Jewelry, Handbags, Scarves and Shawls, Accessories.

Donations are tax-deductible and may be dropped off Monday – Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Reston Community Center Hunters Woods from January 2 to March 6. For more info visit: Reston Community Center.

Mystery Dinner Theater

Murder on Main Street – Olive a Murder! Tickets are $35 for general admission. Includes Show, Buffet Appetizers, Buffet Dinner, Beverages (Cash Bar available.) Must Purchase Tickets by 12 noon on Saturday, January 17th, 2015.

MLK Jr. Children’s Day Celebration
Enjoy a screening of the children’s video, March On! The Day My Brother Martin Changed the World to learn about the March on Washington.  Participate in singing freedom songs and games about tolerance with storyteller Janice the Griot.

MLK Days
Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King with a community art activity!  Each year, Annmarie invites guests to help create a community art installation  in honor of a dream. The projects vary from year to year, but they are always inspiring and appropriate for all ages and  backgrounds.  Reservation are not required – just drop in!
