With the addition of Flight Deck at The Capital Wheel, a new outdoor lounge offering light bites and bubbly beverages, visitors to National Harbor will be able to toast amazing views with champagne or a local brew in hand. The unique venue will welcome visitors who wish to experience The Capital Wheel as well as those who simply want to enjoy a lovely atmosphere and celebrate with friends.
“The view from The Capital Wheel is stunning any time of day,” said Derek Lovato, vice president and general manager. “Now, with the addition of Flight Deck, it’s also a fantastic spot for sunset cocktails, date night or a celebratory event with friends.”
An impressive selection of wine, champagne, sparkling cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages will be topped off with offerings from two local breweries. Loose Cannon, the flagship brew of Heavy Seas, founded by Baltimore beer pioneer Hugh Sisson, will join Homestead Hefeweizen, brewed by Milkhouse Brewery using hops grown exclusively in Maryland.
The Flight Deck is also a perfect location for happy hour parties, company events and group gatherings. Wheel lighting can be customized to reflect logo colors, or synchronized to your college fight song. Flight Deck opening day is scheduled for Thursday, May 25, which is also National Wine Day.
