Singles Group Meeting

The CABS singles group holds informational meetings at 6:30 p.m. every Monday (excluding holidays) at the Garvey Center, Leonardtown. Group activities include potluck dinners, picnics, cards, board games, movies, trips, walks and dancing. Those age 40 and older are welcome. Information: 301-863-6308.

Rush Hour Family Community Event

Living Hope Church will hold a "Rush Hour" family community event on Aug. 23 at Chancellor's Run Regional Park. Activities will include a Kids' Area with a moonbounce, 3-on-3 basketball tournament for age 13 and older, slam-dunk contest, car show, and live music. Lunch and beverages will be provided. Swing and Ballroom Dance

The Knights of Columbus of Holy Face Church will sponsor a Swing and Ballroom Dance on Aug. 23 from 8 to 11 p.m., with a tango and jitterbug lesson at 7 p.m., at St. John Francis Regis Church, Hollywood. Dog Obedience Classes

The Saint Mary's Co. Dept. of Recreation and Parks will sponsor Puppy Kindergarten, Basic & Advanced dog obedience classes, on Aug. 25 and 27 at the Leonardtown Fairgrounds. Fee. Registration is required: 301-475-4200.
